Advocacy Efforts + Giving Back

We acknowledge and honor in gratitude and deep solidarity the Indigenous people past, present & future of the lands we exist on today. Cyclical Roots exists on unceded Wabanaki lands.

We are devoted to ethical, anti-oppressive business practices that advocate for intersectional justice and collective healing. We redistribute a portion of our profits to these movements, which you can learn more about below.

We acknowledge that forwarding funds is not the whole solution, but an important part of the whole efforts to rebalance equity in the midst of imperialism.

We advocate for;

• women, queerfolk, & all who are marginalized by their perceived, actual or raised gender
• all individuals and communities marginalized by gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, class, ability, and religion

Giving Back + Fundraising

ONGOING:

• $10/month to twelve value-aligned organizations. (see above – these receipts are available upon request)
• Our Solidarity Sliding Scale allows you to Pay What You Can within our range of accessible pricing. Our goal is to pave paths for Cycles Journal to support as many cyclical beings as possible.
• One Tree Planted fund-forwarding for forest restoration at checkout.
• We forward funds per order for Planet's Climate-Neutral Shipping via the Century Plan which splits our support between temporary and long-term carbon removal. Read more about how this is done here.
• 5% of all Embodied Ecosystems deck sales to Earth Justice & Indigenous Climate Action.

PAST:

Our previous Pay It Forward fund for financial assistance - over $2,700 worth of scholarships and discounts to over 151 applicants to receive a Cycles Journal.

2025:

• Simplified & amplified fund forwarding through the consistent, monthly redistribution commitment to 12 orgs above^. 

2024:

• Cyclical Mindfulness Foundations Course 20% --> The Palestine Fund ($190+ donated as of 3/20/24)
• From Lunar Cycles Poster --> $80+ donated to Mutual Aid Disaster Relief for Appalachians affected by Hurricane Helene

• Cyclical Mindfulness Foundations Course 20% --> The Palestine Fund $135 donated in 2024
• From art Raffle for Gaza --> $350+ donated so far to various GoFundMe's that directly support individuals & families in Palestine
• From the Embodied Ecosystems Tarot Kickstarter - 10% forwarded to Indigenous Climate Action & Earth Justice - $330 each
• From BFCM weekend --> $300 split evenly between  NDN collective, Indigenous Environmental Network & Taller Salud
• From IG sliding scale limited prints sale --> $40 donated to Palestinians in need from this collective. (the menstrual hygiene fundraiser was completed already so we decided to help families in need)
• Strike for Gaza 1/21-1/28 --> $100 donated post-strike to the Palestine Fund.

2023:

• BFCM Sale for Indigenous advocacy ---> $75 to First Nations Development Institute, $75 to the PCRF

  • May: $38 combined with our World Environment Day fundraiser to Mission Blue.
