What's Embodied Astro-Tarot Cycles? (a key for integrating cosmic wisd

Astrology may be cosmic, but it's impacts and origins are Earthly. Earth is central to the seasons & cycles of our understanding of western astrology. It is complex, but at the same time it’s cyclical, and is simply an ancient reflection of our intuitive and embodied nature. The zodiac wheel evokes the seasons and phases of life through our larger planetary bodies - giving us layers of insight and awareness.

Whenever I hear about what's going on astrologically, it comes and goes from my mind in moments. I'm only aware of the transit in that instance of reading or listening about it, and then I forget. Because information taken in without the senses doesn't stay.

You already embody your reaction to the transit… but how we can embody a relationship to the transit? How can we make sure OUR own body is included and tended to within external yet interconnected influences?

The solution that landed in my body like a drumbeat as I was trying to fall asleep...

What's more powerful than a deeper combination of these incredibly supportive and reflective systems of astrology and tarot?

We know the tarot cards that correlate to each sign and planet, but what about transits and natal placements (aka combinations of planets in a sign) and aspects (interactions between such placements)? Which card represents my mars in Virgo natal placement, and which is related to the full moon in Leo?

Maybe this doesn't matter to most, but it's the kind of thing I wonder about. Because if I can find these connections, then I can have more context to work with - and astrological ally in the form of a minor arcana tarot card for guidance and embodied wisdom.

I'm all for pulling your own cards in the moment too during transits, but wouldn't it be cool if we could link it back to our own charts? If we could also tap into the essence of the moment through a lens that symbolizes cosmic energy so we'll?

If you love the interplay of related contemplative systems or spiritual tools, then this is for you too. I think there is power in layers rather than singularity. And having a referenceable framework helps reduce the overwhelm for me (because this can easily rip into overly-analytical and my goal is to keep it more embodied and essentialized).

So, allow me to introduce... ASTROLOGICAL ALLIES: TAROT TO EMBODY THE COSMOS. (an applicable method and framework)

The desire for this popped into my head one night as I was trying to fall asleep. Yet it was a thought that landed in my body like a drumbeat - and that's when I know it's a good one. I promised myself I'd remember, and I've been able to trust that when I feel something, i do remember it

I wanted to be able to use my tarot card allies as guides within astrology, but beyond just the major arcana. There is so much wisdom in the minor arcana... and I feel it covers more nuance like the transiting or natal combinations of planet & sign do.

I remembered seeing minor arcana cards with astrological correlations inside one of my first tarot deck's books - The Herbal Tarot by... and so I wanted to understand this method - there must be a pattern. And there was,[see Golden Dawn's Chaldean Order based on the planetary orbit frequencies from Earth aligning with the decans of the zodiacal wheel].

After researching and sitting with this for a bit, I understood the purpose of this framework as a reflection more with the decans or parts of each astrological season and year - it made sense, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for and imagining. This method covered under half of the possible astrological combinations of sign & planet... What I was after was a minor arcana card correlation mfor every combination of sign & planet. I wanted a translation for astro placements and transits spoken in the language of tarot.

So I went to find other patterns, as I do...

I made a way to track what exists already via this system, but with the planets in order of proximity to the sun and their layers of influence in proximity to us/Earth.

My methodology of Embodied Astro-Tarot Cycles & Rooted Reminders is bridging a gap between astrology, tarot & embodiment, to bring us into deeper inter-personal awareness.

Divination or “random” card-pulling is valuable, and I wanted to create a system that has clearer card-associations beyond the major arcana - for every card and transit combination possibility too.

This will help add visceral visuals to the transiting planetary aspects through embodied tarot allies and symbolism. This serves as a deepening companion for ANY Tarot deck, but especially the Embodied Ecosystems deck. :)

This is all here to help us remember, reconnect to and integrate our expansive embodied ecology & cosmology through the intersectional lens of visual art, astrology and tarot. If you want to ground subconscious and collective reactivity into cosmic clarity and sensory responsiveness, then it’s of benefit to translate and feel into the signs through integrative reflection and embodiment.

My intention here is to translate, channel & visualize overwhelming, unseen and obscure energies into a sense of clarity & remembrance of our supportive resources.

I am sharing this tool in the form of a key, and a calendar so that it can be a map, an overview for those who want to navigate and reflect through a grounded context & the symbolic language of tarot. From there, you'll be prompted as to which tarot cards hold the symbols & support for each transit / collective experience.

The Ally Calendars

The calendar is in shorthand, so please reference the free printable Astro-Tarot Key here to get used to the symbols/glyphs and general meaning of each planet, astro sign, and aspect angles.

I also provide the full Embodied Ecosystems Tarot title of the month's key tarot card themes at the top (along with the number and suit/element symbol for the traditional tarot card (ie; 5 with the upwards triangle = 5 of fire/wands!)), and you are welcome to reference that or any deck to work with the card's visuals & embodiment prompts.

I recommend printing this calendar out and hanging it somewhere you frequent each day, so it's easy to reference.

You could also tape it inside your Cycles Journal or any other planner or journal! Fold it in half and tape it inside a month's page as a fold-out.
