Shipping policy

Cyclical Roots is an artist-owned micro-business.

Our Checkout Terms:

By placing an order with us, you understand that;

  1. Once order is submitted, it cannot be altered, and we do not accept cancellations.
  2. If you do not include Shipping Protection, your order is not covered for replacement if lost, damaged, or stolen.
  3. Coupons & discount codes cannot be combined (since this is not a feature that Shopify offers).

This checkbox must be ticked in order to make any purchase, and if these terms are not adhered to it may result in reshipment fees if packages are not deliverable, lost, damaged, or stolen out of our control. We provide an insurance option for this reason, and we are not responsible for customer coverage if it is not taken advantage of. Thank you for understanding the boundaries of our microbusiness.

Pre-Orders:

  • Ship when estimated on product page
  • Arrival estimates may vary due to carrier-related delays
  • Any other items purchased in this same order will be held & shipped together once all items are in stock, unless it's a dated item or stated otherwise. Please place a separate order if you'd like your non-pre-order or non-dated items to ship sooner.

Standard Orders / Once Items are In Stock:


Standard Processing Time: 1-4 non-holiday business days. Orders placed on Fridays or weekends typically do not ship until the following week.


Shipping Estimates + Peak Season Disclaimer: 

All dates and timeframes are estimates provided by carrier – we are not responsible for delays or changes to these estimates. All dates are subject to change & fluctuation. Delays are always a likely possibility during peak season [October – January], & holidays (especially December). We are not responsible for fulfillment and shipping delays or changes during peak season.


USA:

We are currently working with a new fulfillment center in the U.S. Shipments will be sent from the closest location to you at the lowest rate available, and carriers may vary between USPS, UPS, Fedex, etc.

Please consider potential delays due to weather & holidays. 

Media Mail – Only available for Journal orders! Not merch or combo orders. 5-14+ business days
Priority Mail: 2-5 business days
Expedited Mail: 2 business days

Zone 9 – Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Greenland, Virgin Islands, PO Boxes, APO/FPO/DPO:

Media Mail: 10-35 business days
Standard/Priority Mail: 5-20 business days
Expedited Mail: 2-5 business days


Carrier Services Holiday Order-By Deadlines:

These dates are estimates not guarantees, just estimates.

Christmas Delivery: 
  • 12/1 – Media Mail/Standard orders due
  • 12/9 – Standard/Priority orders due
  • 12/16 – Expedited orders due
New Year's Eve: We cannot guarantee arrivals because carriers are not guaranteeing delivery
  • 12/5 – Media Mail/Standard orders due
  • 12/16 – Standard/Priority orders due by
  • 12/22 – Expedited orders due

All Other Countries: 

As of July 2024, all international orders (outside of the U.S. + 'territories', will be shipping via UPS Worldwide Economy DDP! Therefore, any orders on our site will include duties + taxes in the shipping rate.

While the total is higher, know that part of it is going towards paying your duties ahead of time, so you both save money AND get your package through customs faster.

We are no longer offering international shipping via USPS or other services since we've run into too many issues with our pervious services. Our warehouse and logistics support has deemed this the most cost-effective and efficient method to benefit out international community.

International shipping rates + transit times are purely estimates, and typically vary between 1-4 weeks.

(does not include delays caused by customs, pandemics, holidays, or other world events)

Delays:

We are not responsible for & cannot control delays on the shipping facilitators end.

Print-on-Demand Apparel Orders:

Please note that Print-On-Demand (POD) apparel, prints, etc are non-refundable. Please know that POD items ship separately and can take a few weeks to be created and shipped.

Currently our fundraiser apparel merchandise is printed & fulfilled from Printful via a print-on-demand service. These items have a 1-4 week processing time since they are printed per order. They will ship separately and can take 1-4 weeks to arrive post-production depending on your location. Please follow the specific tracking # you receive for this item when it has shipped.


Lost, Stolen, Damaged Mail Policy:

We offer an insurance coverage for lost, damaged & stolen mail at checkout through Insureful Shipping Protection - a feature you can add on the cart page when checking out.

Please use the claim page to file a claim if you added this feature for $1.99 at checkout when purchasing your journal.

  • 8 weeks in U.S. or 12 weeks internationally must have passed from date shipped in order to deem mail lost.
  • Tracking doesn’t show failed or successful delivery attempts or any signs of customer error.
  • Address provided must be accurate.
  • Must not be at fault of not paying customs fees or not picking item up.

If you did not purchase Shipping Protection or you ordered via Etsy, please contact us to discuss our options. 

 

Unclaimed/Returned Mail: [wrong address, failed attempted delivery, moved, unclaimed, etc]

If you did not purchase Shipping Protection, mail returned to us at fault of incorrect information or not receiving on the customer's end may either be

  • reshipped with additional shipping costs paid for by the customer
  • refunded minus a 20% restocking fee [shipping cannot be refunded]

Please contact us via our contact form to discuss these options further.

If you did purchase Shipping Protection, you can file a claim on our claim page to have your item re-shipped without additional shipping costs.

Order Changes / Address Updates + Shipping Insurance

Please always double check your address & shipping preferences before you submit your order.

Once orders are placed and submitted to our system, there is no guarantee we can make changes or update an address. Orders are automatically passed onto our fulfillment warehouse immediately after submission in order to speed up the shipping process for everyone. Even if you have not yet received tracking information, your order may already be processing.

With or without Shipping Protection, we always recommend reaching out to the address you listed for shipping to see if whoever lives there will help you receive your items.

At checkout on our website, we offer Shipping Protection for a low cost on all orders as an affordable way to add insurance to your packages to cover possible errors of loss, damaged or stolen mail. If your order was not able to be delivered to your proper address, or arrived damaged, and you paid for the Shipping Protection, you can file a claim through the claim page, and we will cover the cost of re-shipment and/or replacement.

If Shipping Protection was not added at checkout, and your package is lost, damaged, stolen, or otherwise undeliverable, the cost of re-shipment and/or replacement will be the responsibility of the customer.

We appreciate you respecting the boundaries of our small business as we have a limited run of journals printed each year and cannot ship free journals for mistakes out of our control.
